With so many "do it yourselfers" finding out how great RAPTOR® Liner is, we would love to see what you have been up to. Email us some before and after shots with a little explanation of what your plan was and how it turned out. We know that Raptor Liner was intended for pick up truck beds but somehow it has found itself sleeping around. Raptor is now being used for more things outside the box than inside. We would love to share your experience with our great product.
Troy's 1966 bobbed deuce and a half
It is a 1966 bobbed deuce and a half (bobbed meaning I took it from a 6x6 and chopped it down into a 4x4) M35A2.
Color: U-pol Olive Green...
Everything was Raptor lined inside and out. I went with a finer texture. It turned out really well. I couldn’t be happier with the Raptor Liner product and I recommend it to everyone.

Alex 2 tone Excursion
I just finished lining my Excursion and I am very happy with the results. The truck was totaled by insurance after a drunk driver pulled out in front of me. I got the truck back and fixed it myself. I’m not a painter, but the Raptor Liner went on great!
I used tintable Raptor Liner with Grey tint for the top and black for the trim and bumpers.
As for advice, I waited approximately 24 hours for it to dry before taping up for the second color. It was shot in my homemade paint booth (draped plastic sheets from Home Depot around my patio) at a temp of about 60F, and the temps got down into the 40s or 50s at night. Certainly not ideal, but it was the weather I had to work with LOL.
I did keep the Raptor Liner in the house where it was 72, so at least it wasn’t that cold itself. I would advise a new user to actually pretend to go through the motions of spraying their vehicle BEFORE ever mixing the first bottle. I actually forgot to set up the gun from the kit with a nipple for my airline. I went to plug it in and could not. It was a mad scramble to get a nipple on there before the already mixed bottle started to cure LOL.

Black Honda Ridgeline now Sarge Green
As someone who gives our RAPTOR customers advice daily from ordering to installing it, I had to find out for my self first hand rather than give advice on what I have been taught over the past 3 years!
I bought this project 2008 Honda Ridgeline a couple years ago... with plans on Raptoring it myself... have been giving advice to customers having learned almost everything there is to know about Raptor Liner... Well... Wife was away on a girl's weekend, and I had some free time... Friday after work until late Sunday night... the body work was done at a buddy's shop, but I wanted to Raptor it for myself...
Could hardy move Monday morning... Wow... pulling parts off, sanding, taping, spraying and then putting all back together... that's HARD work!!! I totally respect all our "do it your selfers" that love taking on their cool projects!
Anyway... My first attempt and think I nailed it... Everyone loves the Sarge Green (code: PGG) with Black accents...
Couldn't be happier... Knew Raptor was a winner when I first saw it 3 years ago in Tampa... I now retail it both Nationally in Canada and USA... raptorliner.com and .ca. Love the product and being a part of U-pol's flagship product...

Mike's Orange Pod
I purchased a couple of Raptor Bed Liner kits from you last November to cover my Extreme Off Grid Camping Pod. I built it with 1/2" marine grade plywood, sealed the joints with epoxy then covered it all with Raptor Bed Liner in the orange color. It turned out amazing, Many thanks for your great customer service and quick delivery time. I have attached a photo of the "The Pod" in case you are interested to see the result.
Cheers. Mike

We’ve gotten many compliments from the neighbors saying how great it looks and some thought we sent it out to have it professionally done. Thanks for a great product! Now she’s off to Kennicott Alaska for some more adventures! Thanks!!!
NICK'S TOYOTA TUNDRA
Hi everyone,
My name is Nick.
This is my 2007 Toyota Tundra. It used to be blue. Now it’s black. I never painted a vehicle before, I’m 57. This Raptor Liner is so easy to use. On my first coat the air hose got caught under the rear tire, it made my hand that was holding the gun that they provide with the 2 gallon kit stop and I got a lot of over spray. I let it dry while I painted the rest of the truck. When I went back to do the second coat it covered it perfectly. Like it never happened. If your thinking about doing this to your car, truck , boat or whatever, don’t think about it. Just do it!!! It’s worth every penny. This truck looks better than new. Better then the 2022 Tundra. I get asked about everywhere I go. People are amazed that it looks so professionally done. Then I tell them that I did it. It took me 6 days from start to finish. I used a random orbit cordless sander. With 80 grit sandpaper. It took 30 pieces. I then primed it with U-pol primer. I bought 2 of the 2 gallon kits with the nicer gun. I was able to put on 4 coats. I love this stuff. Thank you U-pol for making the RAPTOR LINER.

DIMITRI'S SEMI
Wanted to do something to stand out... chose Toyota Tundra colour Quicksand code: 4V6... love that colour...
Process:
1. sand all services with 180 greed paper
2. Cover all bare metal with U Poll #8 acid primer.
3. Sprayed Raptor tinted with colour + hardener and I added 8 ounces of Urethane reducer for each bottle. The reducer worked great for spraying using an HVLP gun (2mm nozzle at 70 psi pressure.
Love how it turned out!!!

GARY'S ENCLOSED WORK TRAILER
Chris, my 8.5' x 16' enclosed trailer with pull down ramp and extension ramp as you know, used a gallon and a half for my 1st coat. It was not anticipated but thank you for rushing off another gallon kit light gray tint for me. Total time between first and second coat was 4 days. I mixed the in Traction with the final two quarts to do the pull down door and extension ramp piece. With the Epoxy Floor Roller and the Traction, there will be no way my tractors will slip going up the ramp, even when wet. I still have two quarts left so if I have the need, I have some more ready to go. Looks and feels incredible!
Thanks again for a great product!

What can we say... RAPTOR is a great product... obviously not just for restorations... this 2019 Jeep JLU is gorgeous.

Nicholas' NISSAN Z
The before was super rough because we tried several plasti-dip coats over the years but could never stop getting spray lines and spots coming up. At the time of spraying I just did basic clean prep no sanding even because I really had nothing to lose. At the time I sprayed ever emblem on the car but over the years have replaced all to new except the front Nissan Z symbol. There was no special prep done on the plastic emblems but the raptor never chipped or came off. It was the easiest product to use. Everything came out even. I love this product so much it literally changed the cars life. There was a time I was trying to give this car away free to people because I did not want to deal with it and it was in such bad shape no one wanted it. I don't get down the street without the someone screaming how nice the car is and everyone always wants to feel it. This summer I plan on trying to get some red Raptor and redoing it to make the car red and black and match the interior I also did with black Raptor then sprayed over red. Attached is the before car and how the interior came out. Thanks for the interest!

Chad's K5 Blazer
Chad's vintage K5 Chevy Blazer is what he loves to take out into the Arizona desert... He let us know he loves how the pre-tinted RAPTOR GM Bright White looks. His ride now looks great and has a tough coating for his desert excursions.
We can't wait to see it when it's all put back together!!! Nice ride!!!

Chris' Blue Ram
The
truck turned out incredible. I love the finish and get many compliments on it.
The custom colour you mixed up for me is exactly what I was looking for. I used
the vari-nozzle spray gun and was able to dial in the texture I wanted. Thanks
for all the support and I can’t wait to find the next project to use Raptor
liner.
Henry's Jeep TJ
I did the exterior of the tub, doors, hood and windshield and the after market corner guards with the green. I did the rear corners green and then put the metal cloak corner guards over the sprayed tub, so kind of over killed the application of the Raptor Liner under the corner guards. I used 2 of the 4 L kits to do all that. I have one more 4L kit to do the additional coats on the body/doors and hood.
P.S. Ignore the broken windshield. LOL.
She tipped forward on me while I was spraying between the tub and the window frame.

Fernando's Envoy
Fernando asked how he could transform his GMC Envoy into a cool looking SUV that would grab attention even though it's not the newest and most expensive SUV on the block any more. Well, attention to detail with his preparation and excellent application of our reliable Black Raptor liner, has renewed his ride and made it one of the best tranformations we have seen. Fernando loved the product and it's easy application. He was extra careful to prep the project to the best of his abilities as a "do it yourselfer" but looking at his photos, he gets an A plus for effort!!!
Dawson's Ram Project
hey guys my name is Dawson. This was my 2 months of resurrecting the 1997 Rodge Ram 12 valve Cummins and what better product to use then to Raptor Liner the whole truck. Since I'm no professional body man all I could do is take my time prep everything to the best of my ability. The product went on awsome even in not ideal conditions seeing as I was on a time crunch with winter coming and i was doing this whole project in a 12' x 24' tarp barn with heaters. I will definitely be using this product again to color match my atv to match the truck white and also have an idea for a Raptor project on my duck hunting boat. Overall, I love the product and have been telling everyone to buy it. I was so happy with the outcome!!! Thanks guys, cheers
Chris' Trawler
Chris in BC has taken his trawler and totally covered it from the waterline up. He used Reflex Blue tint for the hull and a light grey tint for the rest. He loves the way it looks and how durable it is for his day to day use. Well done Chris!!!
Luis' 2 tone Dakota
So I finally got around to painting the truck. I thought why not paint my truck using Raptor Liner? And the pictures don't do it any justice. Thinned the red the max allowable for a more even coverage. Now everywhere I go I get likes and tons of questions. I just tell them it's easy and anyone can do it.
JOSHUA'S SUZUKI SAMURAI
Here are some photos from my Suzuki Samurai that I sprayed with Olive Drab tinted Raptor Liner.
I bought this Samurai last year and almost immediately began tearing it apart to reveal its true condition under the carpets and body panels. Unfortunately it was a lot worse than I had imagined it would be after taking it apart. Removing the carpets, flares, and other interior components revealed massive rust holes in the floor pan and body panels. This triggered a several-month long restoration progress which involved cutting out all the old rotten metal, and welding in new steel. The vehicle was completely stripped down to a bare tub to do this. After the floors were primed, it was sprayed with a fresh coat of black liner. After reassembling most of the body and interior, I finally was able to spray the exterior with a coat of Olive Drab tinted liner, and I couldn't have been any happier with the results. It turned out fantastic, and the coating handles amazing against the rocks, dirt and debris that the Samurai sees when its off-road. It has since been driven offroad multiple times, and been to several car meets, and has also received recognition from the automotive Youtuber ChrisFix.

Brett's Jeep Rubicon
Here are a couple pictures of the finished product. Not the greatest pictures, but still pictures... lol Thanks for the help and always answering my questions. Hope this product holds up as well as I want it to.
Everything on the Jeep is now Raptor, fenders, rock rails, bumpers,
corner armor and wheel wells. I did everything with the gun nozzle set at 2.5 turns and 60 PSI.
The picture on three wheels is pre-Raptor, so the color match was outstanding and as you can see I built this Jeep to wheel hard, so the Raptor will be tested...lol

Marc's Custom Bed
Marc from Quebec is updating this 1999 Chevrolet s10 with a custom air ride, that is mostly street scene pieces... the slammed S10 has a manual 4.3 Vortech and cool custom audio in it just to name a few of the mods...
After using Raptor in the custom box scene below, he is now figuring out what color to tint Raptor for a full body coating...

Andrew's Bowrider
I'm very pleased with the final result.
I did learn a few things that I thought I would share - I assumed it would be thick and fill in nail, staple or knot holes...not true. I actually used the paint as filler between the first & second coat. The floor needs to be perfectly flat/smooth. I would likely try rolling my next project as the second coat was difficult to spray. The nozzle kept plugging. All things I learned along the way.
Still don't understand why they put carpet in boats so am very happy with the way this turned out. Ignore the dirt in the last pic on the white fiberglass.
Hope this helps & would highly recommend the product.

Cory's Van
Thank you Cory for sharing your build! Cory took this beauty GMC van on a trip down to the desert where it served him well and gave him some great memories that he still cherishes today. Cory wanted to do a complete body job to his van but after weighing the costs and time to prep for a traditional body job, he contacted RAPTOR Liner Canada to get info on how much product he would need and how well we could match his GMC Dakota Brown original color. Well I think Cory hit it out of the park. First picture is his original photo from down south with his ride... He then shared his restoration with RAPTOR... 3 kits, and he's almost done... just has to put doors and trim back on... More photos to follow... Let us know how you like it.

Rebecca's Power Ram
Rebecca and her husband took this old 1990 Power Ram 250 Cummins Turbo Diesel that had lots of holes and was in need of some new metal welded in spots to make her solid again. As you can see they picked a great color and the green that the picked along with RAPTOR Liners texture has turned this old girl back into a new beauty! Three 4 Litre Tintable kits was what it took to wake up the classic RAM appearance. Great thanks for sharing it with us!
John's Concrete Shop Floor
|
I figured I would share some photos of the coating I just put down on my garage floor. The floor itself wasn't in great condition, it had a lot of spalling concrete that I repaired myself, The previous owner never sealed the concrete and after a few years of winter ice it had some big ruts.
I could have ground the repair smooth, but didn't care enough to spend the time and rent the grinder, lol... But I rolled on about 15 liters of tint-able raptor bed-liner to cover the 900sqft. (around 19 liters total with tint) I would recommend doing a second coat if you want to hide more sins, or perfect coverage. |
But I was happy, and didn't feel like doing another coat.
The nice thing about raptor, is how it handles. its one of the most rugged coatings when it comes to acidic chemicals. I have heard if a coating can handle aviation hydraulic fluid for 5 minutes, its good... this can handle it for 24 hours! it can handle acids, and brake fluids without a problem.

Step 1 sweep out the are to be painted
Step 2 Wash the floor with a concrete degreaser and let dry. Step 3 Mask off the wall areas I used the tintable product so I had to use a Urethane base coat to get my color, this is 100 ml to each 1 litre bottle. I applied one coat, and let it setup and applied a second coat 40 to 60 minutes later. On the last coat I would work a 4' by 4' , once done I applied the speckle coat which is a bag of flakes to give more color. Let everything dry overnight. Wear a mask as the smell is quite strong and wear gloves. Sparkle flooring, this is the picture of the sparkle flakes, it is best to sprinkle these over a 4x4 area on the last coat of Raptor while it is still wet. I suggest you get a kit and play around with it.

Grilles, gates and bumpers
One of our customers has used RAPTOR several times to coat his and a couple buddies grilles with our black textured coating. Take a look at some of his work. He says its all about the prep. Make sure it has been scuffed up everywhere. Clean well, let dry and spray on at least 2 coats with gun pressure set for best texture result you like. Always a good idea to spray some cardboard or newspaper to see how its going to lay out before you attack your project.

Industrial use
Equipment Services refurbish cranes and highlifts for resale. They spray them with tintable Raptor reduced down 10% and shot out of an HVLP gun. They needed a product that would hold up to the abuse that they are put through on a daily basis and have been working with the RAPTOR and are extremely pleased with the results. They average 5 to 6 cranes a week. In the picture are the finished cranes.

Tony's F150 Bumpers
Tony's 2009 F150 needed a shot of Raptor to freshen it up. The front and rear lower painted bumpers were showing signs of rust that really show up on his white bumpers as you can see in the photos. A local body shop sanded the rust and prepped the bumpers for color code matched tintable Raptor. 1L of tintable Raptor was more than enough to do this minor fix. Tony was elated with the texture and durability of the new coating that looked factory fresh.

John's Firebird
John has taken RAPTOR and covered below the windshield pillars on his 1987 Pontiac Firebird for a new textured look on a classic. He reported that he loves the way it went on and the result. Just waiting for some RAPTOR Liner decals to add.

Shawn's way to custom color match
This is what Shawn did to achieve exact Color Match... this is not "Tintable Raptor Liner"
I used it on both box panels step 1 was cutting out rust welding in new outer panel patch. Step 1 for paint was priming over filler bare metal area... epoxy primer was used on bare metal with urethane primer filler le3404s from cromax... Step 2 was applying raptor liner (black) over wheel well lips and Lower bottom 3 inches up (was sanded with 120 grit for raptor liner) the raptor liner was applied at 80psi as customer wanted little as possible texture. Step 3 was curing the raptor on bake cycle for 1 hour. Step 4 I applied a sealer coat value shade 4 (as recommended for top coat coverage) of cromax urethane sealer le3440s flash for 20 mins. Step 5 I applied my waterborne paint color (wa926l) let dry. Step 6 2 coats of cromax le5100s clear coat. Turned out awesome! Lighter colors do tend to show the bedliner texture more so maybe in future I would reduce it... I sure loves this product👍. Makes my job easier when I can trust a product to withstand and meet customers needs! |
